The sequel to Capturerd by Vikings. We follow Reim and Tir in their life as slaves. They take ship for Iceland, where their owner, the free peasant Brede, has a better chance to live unmolested by Vikings. After a hard voyage, they join other settlers from Norway in claiming land, building houses and establishing farms. They grow accustomed to the strange environment and come to like it. But this life is soon to be interrupted by new adventures.
