Paranoid is Black Sabbath’s second studio album, released September 1970 in the UK. The USA release was delayed until January 1971. This was the band’s only album to top the UK Albums Chart until the release of 13 in 2013. Paranoid features several signature songs, including “War Pigs, “Iron Man, “Fairies Wear Boots, and the title track, which was the band’s only Top 20 hit, reaching number 4 in the UK charts. The album has been the focus of many accolades. Rolling Stone, in 2017, called Paranoid the greatest metal album of all time.
