Sixth studio album released October 28th, 1977. The front LP cover was reinterpreted from the cover of “Astounding Science Fiction, a magazine issued in October 1953. The inside was 1st created by Hal Hefner — Fantastic Planet (1973) & then Frank Kelly was inspired to use both concepts it for the inside Queen News Of The world LP (1977) Officially, the entire back catalogue was re–issued for the first time on CD in 1986, and again on CD/tape in remastered form in 1991 for the US market (via Hollywood Records, adding a few non–album tracks or remixes not included on the original versions). Parlophone released their own, in–house remasters in 1993/1994. In 2009 the entire back catalogue of studio albums (newly remastered) was re–released again, on heavyweight vinyl. The band’s catalog was remastered again for the band’s 40th anniversary in 2011, with digital and CD releases in standard and Deluxe Edition packages (the latter including a second disc with sparse bonus tracks) via Island Records. On November 17, 2017 the 40th Anniversary Edition of the album was released, in box set form.
