The English rock band existed from 1962 to 1970 and have a core catalog consisting of 13 studio albums. Magical Mystery Tour is the soundtrack to the Beatles television film of the same name. The film’s music was released on a double EP in the UK, released on December 8, 1967. In the USA, an eponymous LP was released on November 27, 1967, extended by five tracks. Here it was their 15th album. In Germany, the album was not released until September 16, 1971, here it was their 19th album, including the compilation albums. In the UK, the album was released nine years later than in the US, on November 19, 1976. The album Magical Mystery Tour was released on CD for the first time in Europe on September 22, 1987 and since then has been the only original US album in the Beatles’ core catalogue.
