Regarding editions and sound quality: The Castle Communications CD release from 1992 — and subsequent represses of it — is regarded as being the best sounding CD, having been taken from the original master tapes. However, it does have pre–emphasis, although not flagged. The same applies to the 1992 Castle Communications release of Knights In White Satin. The Hip–O–Select CD release from 2004 — also from the master tapes, but just a standard transfer — the same used for the 1985 compilation From Here To Eternity…. And Back. The Repertoire CD release from 1999 — and subsequent represses of it — regarded as being the worst sounding CD, as it is transferred from a vinyl record. The same applies for their vinyl represses of it. YEAR: 2005
