Sticky Fingers is the ninth British and eleventh American studio album by the English rock band [a20991]. The Stones recorded 22–31 March 1969, 2–4 December 1969 and 17 February – 31 October 1970, released it on 23 April 1971 on their new, and own label [l33962]. They had been contracted by [l5320] and [l1060] in the UK and the US since 1963. Performed by: [a90541] – lead vocal (all tracks), backing vocals (2–5, 9), acoustic guitar (9, 10), castanets (1), maracas (1), electric guitar (2), percussion (3) [a166570] – electric guitar (1, 3–7, 9), acoustic guitar (1, 3, 5, 8, 9), backing vocals (1–7, 9) [a300117] – electric guitar (1, 2, 4–7, 9, 10), acoustic guitar (3) [a299325] – drums (all tracks) [a272814] – bass guitar (all but 5), electric piano (5) On this album [a300117] made his second full–length appearance on a Rolling Stones album (after the live album [m30405]). It was the first studio album without [a409290] who died two years earlier. Model \ Actor Joe Dallesandro was featured and used as the model for the Andy Warhol cover artwork. The very first UK edition did NOT have the inscription “A Promotone N.V. RECORD on the label, because the Promotone company was founded only a few months (in September 1971, exactly, in Amsterdam, Netherlands) after the album “Sticky Fingers was released (April 1971).
